Ditch the Workout, Join the Party

Zumba prides itself on being a "Latin-inspired, calorie-burning, dance fitness-party."  Their slogan, "Ditch the workout, join the party," has been embraced by over 12 million people who have found a sense of fun in exercise.

At the Wells County YMCA, it is clear to see that sense of fun, as well as community, in our Zumba classes.  If you are interested in Zumba, but not quite sure what it entails, check out the following video, made by our very own instructor, Rochelle, along with some of her regular participants:

Featured members:  Tara Anderson, Bernice Anderson and Kathy Koby
featured staff members:  Terry Biberstine and Rochelle Alberding

Come check out the party for yourself during one of the following times:

Monday:  5:30 - 6:30 PM
Tuesday:  9:30 - 10:30 AM and 4:30 - 5:30 PM (beginner)
Wednesday:  5:30 - 6:30 PM
Thursday:  9:30 - 10:30 AM
Saturday:  9:00 - 10:00 AM

Hello There!

Welcome to the new Wells County YMCA blog!  It is my hope that this blog will serve as an effective means of communication between the YMCA and the Wells County community.  There are several ways that you can stay connected to this blog:

  1. Over in the right hand margin, you will find that you can enter your email address to have new posts delivered straight to your email.
  2. If you already follow other blogs through an RSS reader of some sort (ex. Google Reader), you can connect through our RSS Feed.
  3. Down at the bottom (also on the right side), you can connect to us through Google Friend Connect, which will also deliver our feed to your Google Reader.
Through your subscription, you can expect to receive information on current programs being offered through the YMCA (both to members and non-members), reminders of upcoming program registration deadlines, events going on in the community, exercise and nutrition tips, featured members and staff, and much more.

This will also be a great opportunity to provide feedback to us in the form of comments on our posts.  We would love to hear how we can continue to better serve you!

Thank you, and happy reading!
